Barbecue Grills and Recipes for Real Men
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire and barbecue, and men love grilling for the sheer danger of it. With one part lighting fluid, a flame and some breeze, what could possibly go wrong? If there isn’t the chance of a 911 call, many men couldn’t be troubled with the task. And there’s a world of difference between a ho-hum grill and a real man’s barbecue to make you the Dadio of the patio. Well, we’re here to help with some picks to get you there, along with some sizzling barbecue recipes to put you well on your way in the manly art of grilling.

From the top 5 finalists of a contest entitled “What Can You HEMI?” — a marketing campaign to celebrate the success of the newly introduced 5.7L Hemi engine showing how contestants would adapt the engine into non-automotive uses — comes the Chrysler Group’s HEMI-powered grill. This lean, mean, real man’s grilling machine can cook 240 Hemi-dogs in 3 minutes and is covered by more than 330 square feet of steel. It was created by MCX (now KA QEK), a multi-disciplined service company to the big three, featured in Gizmag.

You’ll find this grill pretty hot, and so did countless others. A Buyer Beware was posted on Derrick Riches’ Barbecues & Grilling Blog last summer — an excellent source for grilling recipes.

Many people ordered them and sent Barker large sums of money, and it turned out that he may have not been filling these orders or offering refunds. If you or someone you know are owed a grill by Steve Barker and feel that you didn’t get what you were promised, contact Greg Benedict of the Ohio Department of Commerce at 216-787-3030. Greg Benedict is investigating consumer complaints in relation to Barker and Muscle Car BBQ Grills. This grill was also featured on Neatorama.

Rib Eye Steak Recipe
Steak Grill Masters show you the “tips and tricks” to help you easily serve up the “best steak anywhere.”
What makes the Rib Eye #1 for many? The Rib Eye steak or ribeye is a beef steak from the small end of the rib roast. It’s one of the most popular, tender and juiciest steaks available because the meat from the rib section is tender and fattier or “marbled” more than most other parts of the steer. This extra fat makes Rib Eye steaks and roasts especially tender and flavorful.
The steak is usually served bone-in, particularly at high quality steakhouses — the extra moisture and fat alongside the bone enhances the flavor. So get yourself some Rib Eye steaks and fire up that manly BBQ grill of yours — it’s time for some real STEAK on the Barbecue.

Why Women Live Longer than Men

I just bought my first grill last week at Lowe’s. It is a good starter grill but now that I see the picture of the Real man’s Hemi powered grill, I am almost ashamed of my purchase. It is like riding your bike with the training wheels still on it, when you are in the 8th grade. Kinda hard to call that cool. I still love the post, thanks
OMG–don’t show my husband those barbeques or he’s going to want one! Seriouly, I had to drag him, kicking and screaming, away from a “large-ish” one in Super Store last week. If he saw this he’d never leave.
Thanks for sharing! I’ll have to check out those recipes too!
Wow! With spring just starting where I live, those BBQ’s sure make me want to go out and get a new one!
My husband spent so much time on this page I thought it was a swimsuit issue. Thats what I get for marrying someone who thinks Iron Chef is a sports show.
But he CAN cook lol!
thank you! great post as always!
Loving both grilling and Mini car; for a Norwegian, this is the ultimate combination. I would love to have on in my garden and of course invite real woman too
Too funny, Wizeguy, and thanks
I finally invested in my dream grill a while back and don’t regret it one bit.
Haha, you must be from western Canada, Cindy. To a degree, I can attest that it makes a world of difference on how much easier it is to do a good job with a really good model. No more burning or cooking at uneven temps. And the videos are quite good as well, I’m going to be trying them out myself
Ahhh, the thrills of a new BBQ, Hijinks
Hahaha, I’d actually be thankful if I could say the same, Sandy
I can’t get mine within 2 feet of our BBQ, but he won’t cook to save his own life
Thanks Alanocu, Glad you enjoyed it
Hehehe, yes, even real women love a great grill, Renny
A gas BBQ is not a manly BBQ. It’s for posers not willing to put the time and effort into real BBQ.
lol i love the one that connects to the back of the hummer… that thing is awesome!
~Mike
lol nice pics!
The first one is hilarious.
I love your grills these are amazing I need to upgrade my setup. My current grill makes the best burgers
I have the smaller version of this grill, but I don’t wear socks like that dork.
http://www.komar.org/bbq/biggest_bbq/
I hear you, Adam. Many hardcore barbecuing enthusiasts will agree as well
I think it’s great for camping myself, Trucking
Thanks Random
It’s what inspired me to even write this up, Jon
Well I would say to hang onto your grill and keep it if you have the room to, Food.
Wowsa, that’s a MONSTER, Ron. What is it with men that wear socks with sandals
Those are some HUGE manly grils! I love it!
I dunno… there were a lot of propane grills there. If you’re going to do something, do it right. Charcoal is the winner in that debate. I don’t wanna hear “oh, it takes too long.” Then make some time. If you’re going to grill, put some care and time into it.
The Hemi and Cat BBQ’s are pretty popular amongst the men, Greenville
True Zephree, the real enthusiasts often prefer cooking with charcoal. All of the recipes above are prepared with that method.
Wow. That first one takes the cake! Where can I buy one? Thanks for the post!
Unfortunately, I think this is a one-of-a-kind Hemi-barbecue, when it was designed for the competition.
If I could get my grubby little hands on either one of them my hubby would be the happiest man in the world
Still debating with myself whether to show the post to him or not – it could be ages before he returns to reality.
I think many-a-man would be in their element to get their hands on them
But if it means you get to enjoy some great cooking, why not
We have a gorgeous large grill which sits unused except for maybe three times a year when we throw a party. This is because my partner doesn’t like to grill. I do, but he thinks it’s carcinogenic, so the poor darling just sits there awaiting the next party. Love your work my friend…awesome post as always!
Oh Kuanyin, that’s such a shame to have a grill like that and not be able to use it.
We barbecue even during winter months! My husband is one of the most finickiest eaters going, and grilling is the only way he’ll even eat most meats I cook.
Since I’m the ‘griller’ of the house by default (my husband doesn’t cook), I broke down a couple years ago and bought the grill of my dreams despite my husband’s great discontent over the expense
I have never regretted one day of one penny spent on it
And thanks so much for your kind words, my dear friend
holy crap! awesome barbecues. I want one that looks like an old mustang.
That first BBQ is ridiculous
Have you ever seen it when people put little food packs on their engines (you can buy a special engine cooker) of their motobikes and cook the food whilst they are driving along?
The mustang is more of one of my faves as well Russel
Haha, I’ve heard of people doing that, but never had any idea that it had actually been commercialized Frugal
What an amazing post! I adore the Cat and the car barbecues!
Those car grilles are really cool, I would love to have one of those in my backyard. I know my friends and I would have a ton of fun throwing parties with that!
i want one with the mustang!!
Wow… nice pics with nice contain are really good.
Phantastic post!!!!
