Bigfoot Sasquatch or Mistaken Identity for a Bear

The sighting of a Bigfoot in Allegheny National Forest 115 miles (185 kilometers) from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania has triggered extensive debate. Is it a Bigfoot, Sasquatch, or merely a bear with a bad case of a skin disease?

Hunter Rick Jacobs got more than he bargained for when he captured the creature on film, using a camera with an automatic trigger that he fastened to a tree in attempt to photograph deer.
“We couldn’t figure out what they were.” Jacobs said of the photos caught on September 16th. “I’ve been hunting for years and I’ve never seen anything like this.”
Rick Jacobs got in touch with the Bigfoot Research Organization which is directed by a virtual community of scientists, journalists, and specialists that investigate reports of the legendary creature and aspects of the phenomenon in the U.S. and Canada.
“It appears to be a primate-like animal. In my opinion, it appears to be a juvenile Sasquatch.” said Paul Majeta of the Bigfoot organization.
But the Pennsylvania Game Commission has a more conformist opinion. Agency spokesman Jerry Feaser said conservation officers routinely trap bears to be tagged and often see animals that look like the photos, reported Yahoo News on Sunday.
“There is no question it is a bear with a severe case of mange.” Feaser said to The Bradford Era of the third photo.
Nevertheless, the mystery continues, as the first 2 images depict a creature with much longer legs than any typical bear. You be the judge and watch the video here.

I certainly wouldn’t want to meet one….we have our own theories over here about bunyips too……but they are definitely fairy tales……I think there has been so many sightings of bigfoots that one has to consider that they could be real ..

Well I don’t think it looks anything remotely close to a bear Kim. If you watch the video, you’ll see why some are claiming the 3rd pic looks like a bear. It definitely does, but it isn’t the same creature as the first 2. I’ve heard of bunyips but haven’t seen any claims of sightings.

omg,i read that story when it first came out but they didn’t have any pics with it. now that i have seen them, there is no way that thing is a bear. look at its legs!!
i doubt that the PA game commission has seen things that look like that. and if they have they’ve been covering up the Sas!
Exactly Gorilla, there’s no way that a person could take the creature to be a bear when you see the length of its legs. What it truly is, is anyone’s guess at this point.

I am not going to judge is that real Sasquatch or not.
Just want to point out that in this days if you want to prove your theory or make other people believe you’ll need to have 100 times stronger evidence than you wanted to throw out something…

My teacher talked about this in science. She said we have to have an open mind and not be influenced by reporters and stuff. Anyway, Im skeptikal, and think its someone dressed up.
I always like to keep an open mind myself Allie, but I’m not sold on whether this is some form of a creature or a man with what’s been provided for information.
It looks real. but you would think that one of these searches they would find somthing.just this weekend I was in l.a national forest I discoverd that a very large animal could live there.you know that feeling when someone is watching you i felt it the whole time. but when i told my friend of my discovrey he said that “bigfoot” could not possibly be real.but some people just cant exept that this stuff is really out there
a big foot could be real but i have an answer why no bodies have been found they could actally be smart enough to do differnt things like humans infact they could be seeing things that we do and coping them
Danny, there are new discoveries for species going on regularly, even today. Some creatures are very timid, or live in such remote areas that they’re very difficult to even site.
While something such as this may not be what one would deem a Sasquatch in the sense that we believe them to be for the age-old myth, it doesn’t mean that large hairy creatures that have not been yet identified don’t exist.

Bigfoot although a legendary hoax and unknown Skunkape, is not a hoax, but legendary. Bigfoot is in fact, Boogy Man. I was a six year old along with other school children who participated on a field trip with a science teacher who took us to a lakeside in a nearby field of the woods for a school project to find ants, butterflies, garden snakes, grasshoppers, and frogs. We were to catch which ever of the critters and place in a jar and return to class with it. However, while out there searching this big field, across the canal which still remains today were Four hairy like strange creatures standing and mocking our movements and even licking out their tongues. We were screaming and running and the teacher was very brave and went back to the location herself to investigate what we saw. When she returned, the Skunk Apes were gone. I noticed a smaller skunk apes (2) possibly a boy and girl, and their parents. I do not swear on God’s earth, but I will tell you, these are very real and are here still today with us hiding in the woods of the Everglades and South Dade areas. They are very smart, have a personality, can be aggressive, and indeed, have common sense. Do not approach them because you may get your arm pulled off or another body part. As I remember a news reporting in the mid 60s, a white male was fishing in the same area of Orange Drive near Broward Community College had his arm snatched off for the Skunk ape was trying to take his fish and he was startled and went for his rifle, and in doing so lost his arm. These are true creatures, and I am so angry at the people who are not open minded to the fact that you have footage and still yet you believe it to be someone playing games with a gorilla suit. One day, you same people will see for yourself the reason why your parents told you go to sleep and watch out for the boogy man.
PS. All the kids on the fieldtrip from Bethune Elem 1962, did witness seeing the huge footprint in the trail, and we placed our little feet inside of Skunk Apes in awe. The foot of the Skunk Ape appear to be size 20, if a shoe comes that large it will fit.
