  5. I’m am an extremist and look for a rush anywhere I can get it. I was wondering, how would I go about getting into this? Do you have any contacts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Chase

  6. Hi Deborah ,

I am Jack Smarto from Switzerland, and let me tell you that I am a huge fan of your website. I know that you review some websites and also feature some of the most expensive and extravagant things around the globe.

I though that I had to share with you my latest discovery about this Swiss company who elevate ordinary chocolate to jewel pieces not only for the eyes, but for sure to exalt our palate.

This is definitely a gastronomic experience for die-hard chocoholics…And without forgetting that this is the most expensive chocolate in the world so far.

In case I give you the link of this Ultra Chic Swiss Chocolate company :http://www.swisscocoagourmet.com

    A must to be seen!

Best regards, Jack Smarto from Geneva (Switzerland

  7. Chase, do you mean that you’re asking how to get into blogging?

If so, that’s a very broad question to answer.

I certainly wouldn’t classify blogging as something for extremists. My rush comes from finding something unusual to share with readers.

But there is a lot of work involved, and you must be willing to dedicate a lot of time to research, and then making something out of that which is interesting enough to people to spend their time reading it.

You will also need to spend several hours per day networking to bring readers to your site.

If you can narrow down your question, I’d be happy to answer. As for contacts, I would say to start getting involved in sites like MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, etc.

  8. Thanks so much Jack.

I actually had someone that left a series of comments on a post for this site which appeared to be self-promoting when I read them, rather than asking for a feature.

As a chocaholic myself, I did find this rather interesting. But to be fair to readers, I never feature something for the main purpose of creating sales for a company. I feel that would be deceptive to them.

Somehow I get the sense that this is the main goal of this site, to have me push their product ;-) But should I do another post in the future on insanely expensive foods, I will keep this in mind to be included.

I hope that I do not give the impression that I am doing website reviews when I write an article, because that is something that I do not do. I try to bring interesting events, occurrences, and achievements to people that would not be readily seen otherwise, without having an ulterior motive behind it.

I do however write features about artists when I come across one with talent or a zany style. Having been one of sorts myself, I know how difficult it is for them to gain exposure. It’s a sad shame for those who deserve it to not have their artwork discovered, particularly in this day and age of the web.

But then again, I have also featured some simply because their work was so bizarre, and not necessarily appealing to all as something of beauty ;-)

  9. I’ve just recently found your blog and really like the mix of photography with quality content.

One tip – The comment box text for Name, Email, Website is white on a yellow background which is very difficult to see what your typing.

    Keep up the great work!

  10. It shows up yellow to you? That’s rather odd, as it appears dark gray to me. Thanks for letting me know, I’ll see if my designer is able to do anything about it.

And thanks, I’m glad to hear that you enjoy it :-)

  11. 15. Are you a travelling exhibit and if so, where do you go after the Telus Centre in Edmonton?

  16. Janice, I’m not exactly sure what you are asking here. I am from Edmonton, however, this is simply a blog that I write for.

  17. I am the world’s only person to crease my upper eyelids without surgery, stitches, tapes or glue. I was born with slant eyes.
This topic will attract millions of viewers to your station. Do you want a demonstration? Beauty is a woman’s most important thing, readily exchangeable for love, prestige or money. More so than education, aristocracy or fame.

A survey of Xiamen University graduates in 2002 found that 54.3 per cent of new job seekers identified physical appearance as the defining factor in securing a position. Even the lower animals have alluring eyes (horses, dogs, cats, monkeys, frogs, etc). When God designed the Mongolians, he was drunk but do not despair because I’ve found the remedy.

  28. Hi Tony,

My searches revealed that Al Pacino’s tattoo on his hand in Scarface is a pitch-forked heart tattoo. I haven’t been able to find any decent images though. You can see it somewhat in a photo about a third of the way down this page:

  32. The way the anti-whaling subculture is re-using undocumented images, you probably don’t even know that you use my photo in http://www.lifeinthefastlane.ca/gruesome-whale-and-dolphin-bloodletting-massacre-in-europe/offbeat-news.

    Could you please
    1) credit me with a link to http://www.flickr.com/photos/styrheim/210337959/in/pool-whaling/
    2) Use my version of the shot, the one you have is badly damaged by JPEG compression. (And ridiculously saturated, but that is intentional?)

  39. Lately God has put it on my heart to pursue this cause.
I’m in need of a partner I may collaborate with. I want to begin locally (U.S.) by distributing abduction prevention materials via Childshield.org which, the Lord be willing may fund a larger, international effort by myself and my fellowship to eradicate this epidemic.

Looking forward to discussing all possibilities with you.

    Sincerely, Jon Hartford
