Dryosaurus Dinosaur Walks Streets of Sydney Australia
Welcome back!
A Dryosaurus dinosaur nonchalantly walks across a busy inner city intersection outside the Australian Museum in Sydney on Thursday.
The human-operated puppet of the 150 million year old herbivorous beast surfaced from the museum on a traffic stopping stroll around Sydney’s Hyde Park promoting an upcoming live theatre performance, reports Metro.
The 12 day performance is entitled Gondwana — Land of the Giants!
Experience Australia’s astounding prehistoric creatures and land brought to life with full body puppets. Discover giant dinosaurs, insects, indigenous plants, and mammals accompanied by evocative soundscapes, and large projections.
Enjoy this awe-inspiring journey with land masses that change shape and flesh-eating dinosaurs nesting, feeding and fighting for survival. Performed by the world acclaimed Erth Theatre Company and based on scientific understandings of Australia’s origins. This atmospheric theatre performance promises to be a thrill seeking journey.
The performance starts Monday July 2 2007 through to Friday July 13 2007. Check out the museum’s website for further details.

Hi,
Its really a top quality blog. Great job!
Thanks so much Saeed, I really appreciate that, and your visit
YUCKS! That creature is too ugly!
hi Deborah
I think I have stumbled this ie if I have followed the directions properly….great article
Kim, do you mean with Stumble Upon? If so, it will send a pingback as a comment here. I have the Google toolbar, and installed the addon for Stumble to it from their website. It makes it very easy to stumble, just click thumbs up (or down if you don’t like it), and then enter a comment if you want for the little icon that looks like a call-out ballon.
Thanks for the wonderful gesture!
I thought this one would interest you since it’s in your neck of the woods
Kim, the info was actually rather difficult to find out about the theatre performance, even from the museum’s own website once I found it!
But you know me, I can’t stop until I’ve uncovered all of the dirt I can find
lol Deborah
I live up the road from Sydney (about an hour 15 mins)…and it takes you over there in Canada to tell me what’s going on in my neck of the woods…ahhh wonders will never cease..
re SU I know I clicked the thumbs up and made a comment but after that it was the blind leading the blind…grr gotta get an expert to simplify all of this for me…
Haha, that’s too funny Kim. I’m probably just as bad. If it’s not on the net I probably haven’t heard about it
I’m not a very seasoned Stumbler, wish I could help you. Maki at Dosh Dosh wrote a post on Stumble, but I don’t think he went thru the processes to that kind of detail, more so on the value of it.
Haha!! really funny and creative. How will you react if that monster walk behind you before your realise it??
Run like mad Forumer
