More in the genre of extreme tattoos, Canadian Lane Jensen made a radical move to have one of the most bizarre operations of the year — to insert silicone implants not in his chest, but in his leg.

A devotee of body art already, Lane had a tattoo of a large busted lady on his shin. He felt the tattoo wasn’t entirely dramatic enough, so he had silicone implanted underneath the breasts on the tattooed woman to make the inkwork more effective in the right areas.
Brian Decker — owner of Pure Body Arts in Edmonton, Alberta — performed the off-the-wall surgery which lasted merely 45 minutes, with Lane feeling nothing more than “a small bruise,” but delighted with his new breasts.

The Editor in Chief of Tattoo & Piercing Magazine even sat up to watch most of the operation performed.
“I thought for sure I’d be light headed or sick from the visual but in fact, after 15 minutes I sat up and watched. Today it doesn’t feel any worse than a minor bruise. It looks great and accents the tattoo very well.” said Jensen.
“My leg breast implants are doing great 1 week after the implant was inserted. The one spot where the nipple rubs against my pants is a little sore. It’ll callus up and be fine soon.” he adds.
Lane Jensen is also the Senior Piercer and co-owner of Dragon FX Kingsway Tattoos and Piercing in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
He began his career as a Tattoo Artist at Dragon FX West Edmonton Mall in 1998. In 2001 he was performing body piercing full-time. Lane moved on to manage Dragon FX and trained many piercers in the art form. He started to dabble in photography and began a mockup of a high-end magazine in 2003, featuring the industry’s finest modification artists and suppliers. Photo Lane Jensen.
The first issue of Tattoo and Piercing Magazine hit newsstands nationwide in the fall of 2005. The 2nd issue was picked up internationally in the winter of 2006 featuring Blair Decker on the cover. Both issues sold out within 2 weeks.

UPDATE:
The implants were put in on December 9, but by Christmas Eve the sutures had split, and large quantities of lymphatic fluid were oozing out of his leg, Lane told the Edmonton Sun.
“There was so much fluid in there. I went back to the studio and pushed on it gently — the implant shot right out.”
He says that there was nothing wrong with the implant procedure. “My body just rejected it. I guess my girl wasn’t meant to have 3D breasts.”
He tried to heal the burst breasts by freezing his leg and sewing it back up himself, but then his leg burst open again. Doctors gave him antibiotics and gauze to patch it up, and told him to leave it alone until the fluids stop leaking out.

Yes CBB, it did burst on him. I don’t recall when, but the news was just made public yesterday. I had meant to update this post with the info, just haven’t had time yet

It’s a bit extreme but if it makes him happy then that’s his choice, but it does make you wonder whether he will be going for the full implants next followed by the chop!

Okay, I’ll admit that this is bizarre (not to mention unnecessary), but I do have to hand it to the guy for original thinking.
Why do I have the feeling that in the future, the technology will be available for us to have implants that we can just pump up (with air) whenever we want to be artificially… ummm… larger?
This is totally bizarre. The implants didn’t like being in his leg. I wonder how often that happens to the women who put them in.
My stomach feels yukky after reading what lengths this guy went to! What next for this tattoo artist? You must keep up with him and report back to us because he’s so over the top he’ll probably come up with yet another outrageous stunt!

There was actually another man that I saw very recently who had done much the same thing.
I’m sorry but that was a bit much and they should have figured that they would have problems with the implants since you aren’t having a doctor do it. Even a plastic surgeon putting in shin implants can have a failure rate and they know what they are doing. It is one thing to get a tattoo (I have 3) but letting someone that doesn’t know medicine implant a substance inside your body is asking for problems.

Having implants done by anyone other than a doctor is plain stupidity. What did he think would happen?? Our bodies try and fight off anything that doesn’t belong inside them and tattoo artists should stick to the outside of the skin, or just piercing if they know how but leave this type of stuff alone.

Yo that is so epic!!! i think it would be possible to keep it perminant if you found a spot on your body that had more lose skin, cuz the leg has too much muscle. it was only a matter of time before it burst like that

I had my legs tattooed and then got a job for a legal firm where I had to wear a skirt and go to court, luckily the tattoo was just one colour and I went for tattoo removal –
if your great idea of implants to make tattoos stand out ‘takes off’ then could I just say to any girls who might have a tattoo – don’t have it on your legs if you might one day get a posh job!
