Man gets Plunger up the Rump – Proves Fatal
Welcome back!
First we had the ewww factor, now we have the owww factor. This story is reported with a degree of skepticism, as it sounds just too good to be true. It is, however, funny — I couldn’t pass this one up. Photo — Mustangmatt (Check out the inscription on the handle.)
A German man almost died after using a sink plunger as a bath plug and impaling himself in the backside after slipping on a bar of soap.
Dieter Bayer, 79, decided to use the plunger to keep the water in when he had a bath because he couldn’t find the bath plug, reports Metro.
As he stood up to soap himself he slipped and fell heavily on the plunger, wedging the wooden handle far up his derriere.
His wife rushed to the bathroom when she heard him screaming in pain, and was unable to pull him free, so she called emergency. It seems the suction function appears to work both ends.
Don’t laugh! I know you’re chuckling! An ambulance spokesman said: “There was a lot of blood, the injury was very serious, he could have died.
Doctors operated for eight hours to repair the damage, and believe he will now recover, although it will be at least two weeks before he’s released from the hospital.
Urban myth? For this man’s sake I certainly hope so.
