Otter Love – Otters Holding Hands Video
From puppy love to otter love. You can’t help but say awwww! These adorable otters Niyak and Milo (forgive me please if I’ve spelled your names wrong) are at the Vancouver Aquarium and have become instant celebs!
Is it true love? Holding hands is part of their survival instinct to prevent them from floating apart in the wild and rough waters; social grouping is very important to them. Sea otters are an endangered species.

Niyak is one of the few survivors of the Exxon Valdese oil spill in Alaska and was brought to the Vancouver Aquarium.
The video was shot by Professor Cynthia Holmes 5 years ago, and recently submitted it just a few weeks ago. It’s become the top rated YouTube animal video of all time!
I wish swimming came as easily to me as it does to them! I’d sink like a stone.

Simply adorable creatures!
I love the fact that they separated for a while and came back together…
It is a lesson for us all… separation does not have to lead to permanent breakups.
