Pets Get Their Geek On
Welcome back!
A 10 on the scale of the awww factor, Oliver gets her shower at a pet groomer’s in Westmount, Quebec, Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007.

Never scoop poop or change the cat litter again. Petgadgets has just the answer with the cat toilet.
No more kitty litter! The everlasting granules liquefies the waste and flushes it down the drain with a mixture of cold water and sanitizer into the basin below, eliminating germs and odors in the process. A built-in hot air blower then dries the granules.
GoDogGo
See Spot run. For the lazy pet owner that can’t separate their duff from the lawn chair, the GoDogGo tennis ball launcher was designed just for you, providing hours of healthy exercise and enjoyment for your dog.
Using remote control, you can set GoDogGo to automatic modes that will launch tennis balls to your dog every 7 or 15 seconds, or manual mode to will launch balls with the press of a button.
More for the lethargic pet owner, simply load and shoot! Merely pull the lever, and the fun begins. Dogs run, jump, chase and catch doggy treats as they fly through the air.
SnackShotz was designed to encourage the human-animal bond and enhance your dog’s playtime. The SnackShotz can launch Discos treats up to 12 feet.

Office Pet Daycare
For those who can’t bear to be separated from their precious pooch, bringing your pets to the office is becoming a growing trend — reports of 6 percent of CEO’s surveyed allow pets at work.

Ken McAllister, president and CEO of Sunpro Inc. (www.sunpro1.com), a software company based in Zillah, Wash., said they’re allowing employees to bring their pets to work on a rotating schedule, so everyone has a chance to spend time with them at work.
McAllister said, “It’s a fact that we all spend many more hours at work than anywhere else, so allowing people to bring their pets to work helps provide a relaxed atmosphere where the most creative thinking abounds.”
Lavish Living Goes to the Dogs

Now Oliver certainly seems to be thoroughly enjoying the shower….pampered pets huh? As for the rest of the gadgets and gizmo’s I guess that many are designed for the idle rich…..although the goggles I have seen used before and in some cases the dog has had a crash helmet on too…..quite a sight on the motorway lol.
My sister decided early on that she was going to be a career woman so her ‘family’ consists of 4 dogs, and they want for nothing. It costs more to house and feed them when she and her husband go on holiday than what the holiday costs!! Definitely a dogs life for her ‘family’.
It really is surprising that many people will spend more on their pets than they do on themselves, but each to their own…..woof woof!!
haha Deborah
I think in my next life….I will come back as a pet to the rich and famous :]]
that first pic is just toooo adorable….
You noticed how much fun Oliver was having eh? Haha! Too funny, that could be a real traffic stopper seeing a pooch with goggles and helmet on the freeway
It costs a small fortune for dog food and treats for our kids, but I feel if it extends their lives by as much as stats say, it’s well worth it to me. Not to mention their health factor.
As for the pet hotels, I can actually understand it. The costs would kill me, but the peace of mind would be worth it knowing they’re being treated well. I’ve heard some nightmare stories about dog kennels, even from ones you’d never suspect.
Kim, I’d be happy just to come back as one of our OWN pets, and I’m neither rich nor famous, haha!
Those pics were what inspired me to write this post to begin with
LMAO when I saw them!
I just LOVE, no, adore, that cat toilet, what an invention! *giggles*
