I can see why people say poor pigs, but animals have been branded for thousands of years. Many in the tattooing community still consider modern branding of humans barbaric and unsanitary, yet thousands of young consenting adults get this done each year. Many of the elite of America have their animal branded, to include even their pets, as a way of preventing theft. Some have even had their signature put on their horse with liquid nitrogen, a less painful modern way of branding. I do not agree with tattooing live animals, yet the gentle man does sedate them for the process and seems to put great thought and care into their treatment. Perhaps a better way would be the gentlemans earlier idea of just tattooing animal skin that is purchased from a butcher. Although I am sure there would still be many who find that wrong as well, those vegitarians are the ones I am refering to. Yet despite their best efforts they will never be able to convince the majority to stop eating meat. And to the vegitarians I say, what did that poor defenseless plant ever do to you. Perhaps I am to literal in my spiritual/religious upbring, where man was put in charge of animals and this planet, though we havent done the greatest job. Still this is a debate that has many pros and cons. I dont see enough wrong with what the gentleman is doing to warrant such criticism to him. Everyperson is guilty of some wrong doing on some level. As Jesus said, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Perhaps we should all look inward at our own flaws first and foremost. Myself included. But above all else just enjoy art for what it is art. Art is defined as what is pleasing to look upon by that person who is doing the looking. If you dont like it then look elsewhere, and leave those who do enjoy looking at alone.
